We’re excited to announce a new update to coreSTORE! This Fall update comes with some great improvements and exciting new features that will help you get ready for the upcoming busy season. We continue to take all of your input and as usual, many of the updates we made are thanks to you.
As always we continue to strive for the best customer service experience. We have added some new staff members and have been improving our internal procedures to make sure that your customer service experience is top-notch. We fully understand and appreciate the importance of offering not just the best product but also the best customer support. Our new Customer Success Manager Josh Okey has already been making some fantastic improvements in the short time that he's been with us. We hope you enjoy a brief introduction to Josh.
Overall, we have put a lot of focus on improving speed in various areas in coreSTORE and fixing bugs (can't get away from those pesky bugs). We’ve also added some new features that will help you focus on what’s most important.

By now, hopefully, you have noticed the speed improvements made throughout coreSTORE, including searches, screen loading time, and other areas. Our development team has been hard at work stabilizing and speeding the system up in time for a super busy holiday season.

new feature Item Modifiers are now Item Options
We have renamed Item Modifiers to Options, and here is a video that describes the changes and gives you an overview of item options.
new feature Email Logs
Watch this video to learn about email logs. A feature that will help you track down whether an email was sent when you expected it to.
new feature Employee Login Logs
Several customers requested a full log showing all employee login activity, including the IP address that they logged in from. That's another fantastic suggestion.
new feature Receiving and Selling Items with Variations
We have made it significantly simpler to order/receive and sell variation items. This short video will show you exactly what was added to make your lives easier.
new feature Printing Labels for Items with Variations
This is another video for this one, but all of these videos are pretty short and get right to the point! In short - select a variation item on the items screen clock Print Label and watch the magic happen. You can now print labels for specific variants, and you can specify the quantity of each.
new feature Quickly Access Suspended Sales
Another great customer suggestion that was simple to implement. A direct menu option to pull up suspended sales. Simple but effective!
improvement Add Customer PO to the Suspended Sale Screen
If you use customer PO numbers when entering sales orders, you can now add the customer PO as a column on the suspended sales screen.
new feature Inventory Last and Standard Cost
We have added two cost fields to inventory items: Standard Cost and Last Cost. Many customers business may want to track the standard cost of an item so they can compare their actual buying cost to their expected cost. This helps them determine if you are getting the best price for their items. You can get this information from their suppliers, as well as from market research and industry data. Last cost is the latest price paid for an item. It is important to keep track of what you are paying for inventory and ensure that you are getting the best prices available. By keeping track of these costs, you can ensure that you are buying inventory at the most cost-effective prices and not overspending on inventory. coreSTORE will automatically update Last Cost based on the last receiving transaction. Standard cost is maintained manually by the store.
new feature Auto Split Lines by Item
There are times when you want to ring up the same item multiple times, but you want to split each instance of the item into its own line, so you price each one differently or enter different notes on each line, etc. The new feature allows you to permanently setup an item so that it always splits that item.
improvement Gift Cards Tracked By Location
If you have multiple locations, gift cards are now tracked based on the location they were purchased from. Your customers can still use a gift card across multiple locations, but coreSTORE now will track and report gift card liabilities based on the location where the card was purchased.
